Dear Parishioners,

This weekend is Good Shepherd Sunday. This is a day of deepening our awareness of and praying for people, including young people in our parish, to respond to God’s call to a vocation as a Religious Sister or Brother, or as a Priest or Deacon.

May God bless you all, Fr Denis

DIOCESAN ASSEMBLY:

Our parish will host the Icon of Our Lady of Perpetual Help and the Diocesan Plenary Candle in preparation for the Diocesan Assembly. They will be available for prayer at the weekend Masses and at the Blue Hills Mass next Saturday morning. They will also be present for our parish meeting with Sophy Morley this coming Tuesday at St Peter’s College. During the week they will be at St Thomas the Apostle Primary School and students from there and St Peter’s College will visit.

STEWARDSHIP RENEWAL:

During the months of May and June a Renewal of our Stewardship Program will take place. The success of this renewal will be crucial for the project to build our church and parish offices. I ask all parishioners to give every assistance to the renewal of our parish stewardship program, to join if you have not previously joined, and together to make real the building of our church. This is first of all an act of faith, hope and love, and so more than anything I urge you to pray for its success.
