SACRAMENT REGISTRATION SESSION – will be held on Tuesday the 4th of December for any parents that would like their child/ren to make a Sacrament in 2019 at St Thomas the Apostle Parish. The attendance of at least one parent is required. This registration evening is compulsory and will cover a variety of topics for families as well as the dates and requirements for the Program. To assist with the organisation of the evening, we request that families of children not in St Thomas the Apostle Primary School to call the parish office. This session will be held at St Thomas the Apostle Primary School Hall at 7.30pm.

STEWARDSHIP ENVELOPES – Please pick-up your new set of stewardship envelopes at the back of our worship space. For parishioners giving through Direct Debit and Credit Card, please pick-up your receipts. Thank you.

WORLD DAY OF THE POOR – This Sunday is the 2nd World Day of the Poor. Pope Francis has designated the 33rd Sunday in Ordinary Time as the World Day of the Poor. The Holy Father asks us to consider “Who are the Poor?” Our response, he suggests, calls for a “Loving attentiveness which honours the person….and seeks out his / her best interests.” To read the full letter, a copy of the letter from Pope Francis and the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference is on the notice board.

ADVENT & CHRISTMAS DAILY REFLECTIONS 2018 – Our parish staff will sell the booklet after all Masses this weekend. Cost: $4 per book.

CARITAS Australia – Share the joy of Christmas with our family and friends through the annual Christmas card campaign, Global Gifts, where you can purchase cards for family and friends. The proceeds from these Global Gifts are directed towards work for the poor and vulnerable, many of whom are separated from their families. ORDINATION TO THE PRIESTHOOD – Deacon Paul Hiep Van Nguyen will be ordained to the priesthood for the Diocese of Sale on Saturday 15th December at 11.00 am at St Mary’s Cathedral Sale. All are most welcome to attend. We are also seeking singers for the Diocesan Choir for the Ordination. Diocesan Choir rehearsals: 10.30 am 24th November at St Mary’s Church, 52 Monash Rd, Newborough & 11.30 am 1st December at St Mary’s Cathedral, Foster. We would like singers to come to one of these rehearsals as well as the final rehearsal at 9.30 am on the day of the Ordination.

AUSTRALIAN NATIVITY SCENE (ANS) AT ST ELIZABETH’S PARISH
