SACRAMENT OF FIRST HOLY COMMUNION: We congratulate the last group of candidates who will make their First Holy Communion this weekend: Joseph Lobo, Cassandra Sanchez, Jasper Micallef, Kiandra Reynolds, Florianne Agujar, Jade Barlaan, Julien Sangalang, Deiondre Adelson, Anusha D’Silva, Myer Marabeles, Harlee Kingsley, Sarah Quinn, Catherine Quinn, Jayden Kottiyali, Aaron Kottiyali, Chauncey Morin, and Tiago Santos.
ALTAR SERVER TRAINING – We welcome anyone who have completed the Sacrament of Reconciliation and is interested in Altar Service to please pick-up the Parent Permission form from the table at our entrances and return to the parish office before the training date. Training will be held on Tuesday 2nd October at 4.00pm at St Peter’s College
EXTRAORDINARY MINISTERS OF THE EUCHARIST & LECTORS – And for anyone wishing to minister Communion to the Sick. Training for new and existing people will be held at St Peter’s College at 7.30pm on Tuesday 2nd October. |

– Pope Francis has spoken of the need to engage in the world and respond in faith – The society in Australia has changed significantly too, that is why the Bishops are holding a Plenary Council and ask for our participation. Our Parish invites you to join in the process of the Plenary Council by taking part of the ‘Listening and Dialogue’ sessions. Following Fr Denis invitation, in the next two weeks we will explain more of the process and how the sessions work. We want the gatherings to be enjoyable, safe and welcoming to all involved. PARISH MOVIE NIGHT!! “John XXIII Pope of Peace” (PG) (running time 3hrs 23mins) Friday 5th October at 7.00pm at St Peter’s College, Clyde North. A FREE night of entertainment for the entire family! An inspiring feature film on Saint Pope John XXIII, starring Edward Asner in an acclaimed performance as the beloved pontiff, who came from common stock and was known for his simplicity, courage, and love for humanity. This film also underscores his wonderful sense of humour and great charity towards others, especially the poor, downtrodden, and the outcast.
SALE DIOCESE CLERGY IN-SERVICE: During this coming week Bishop O’Regan and all the priests and deacons of the Sale Diocese will gather for their annual In-Service, from Monday evening until Thursday evening.
LISTENING AND DIALOGUE SESSIONS WITH THE BISHOP – Bishop Pat is inviting the whole Diocesan Community to participate in one of 5 regional Plenary Council listening & Dialogue sessions with the Bishop to be held in October & November. We will be engaged in prayerful listening, discussion & faith sharing as we journey towards the Plenary Council in 2020. The fruits of our discussions will be submitted online to the Plenary Council. VENUE: St Michael’s Church Berwick, 7.30pm Tuesday 30th October. Please refer to flyer for other sessions.
DEACON STANLY DEVASIA: This weekend, at St Mary’s Cathedral, Sale, Stanly Devasia has been Ordained as a Deacon for the Sale Diocese by Bishop O’Regan. We rejoice in this Ordination and give thanks to God. Deacon Stanly will spend about a year as a Deacon before he is Ordained as a Priest. It reminds us to continue to pray for vocations to the Priesthood and Religious Life, and especially for Deacon Hiep who will be Ordained as a Priest in St Mary’s Cathedral, Sale on Saturday 15th December this year, and Deacon Avinash who will Ordained as Priest in India on Saturday 5th January 2019. We look forward to Deacon Avinash and Deacon Hiep taking up appointments as Priests in the Sale Diocese early next year.
PRIESTLY ORDINATION – Rev. Mr Hiep Nguyen, currently transitional deacon, will be ordained priest on Saturday 15th December at 11am in St Mary’s Cathedral, Sale. All parishioners are welcome. Please keep Hiep Nguyen in your prayer.
OUR LADY HELP OF CHRISTIANS PARISH, NARRE WARREN: We extend our congratulations to OLHC Parish Narre Warren as this Sunday Bishop O’Regan will Bless and Open the new refurbished Church and the new Parish Offices.
