This weekend we welcome Bishop Pat O’Regan to our parish as we celebrate the 6th anniversary of the Foundation Mass for St Thomas the Apostle Church, Clyde North. The Foundation Mass was celebrated on Sunday 8th July 2012 by Bishop Christopher Prowse, then Bishop of Sale and now Archbishop of Canberra/Goulburn. From that first Mass until today the Masses have been celebrated in this same place, and we are very grateful for the enduring relationship with St Peter’s College and the ongoing assistance given by St Peter’s College to the new church and now to our parish. This is a time to express our gratitude to the parishioners who so generously give of their time every week to prepare the classrooms for our weekend Masses. We thank you for your fidelity to an important task.
